The Rockies announced their minor league coaching staffs for the 2020 season Wednesday, with three new managers across the organization’s six affiliates.
Warren Schaeffer takes over as manager for Triple-A Albuquerque, replacing Glenallen Hill. Schaeffer spent the previous two seasons managing Double-A Hartford, which will be led this year by new skipper Chris Denorfia. A quality assurance coach with the Cubs last season, Denorfia played 10 years in the majors and ended his career with the Isotopes in 2017.
Scott Little will return to manage Class-A Advanced Lancaster for a second season, Robinson Cancel will manage his third year in Class-A Asheville and Jake Opitz will manage this third season in rookie-league Grand Junction.
