It’s supposed to dip below zero over the next couple of days in Denver, but the Rockies are already thinking of spring in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The club announced its 34-game 2017 Cactus League schedule Thursday, one that includes 17 home games at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Highlighting the schedule is a March exhibition game vs. Team Puerto Rico as part of the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
Colorado opens its spring training schedule as the visiting team vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields on Feb. 25. The Rockies will conclude their Cactus League schedule with a home game against the Seattle Mariners on April 1 before opening the regular season on April 3 at Milwaukee.
