Vilade, 18, was the Gatorade Player of the Year and was named a Rawlings-Perfect Game First Team All-American in his home state this year after hitting .410 with seven homers and 34 RBIs in his lone season for Stillwater. He was the first Oklahoma prep player selected in the top two rounds since 2007.
Vilade first garnered national attention in 2016 in the Under Armour All-America Game at Wrigley Field, when he won the event's homer run derby against the likes of Royce Lewis and Hunter Greene, who were selected with the Nos. 1 and 2 overall picks in the '17 Draft.
