DENVER – The Colorado Rockies High-A affiliate, the High-A Lancaster JetHawks, have earned their fourth consecutive Player of the Week award, making it a clean sweep for the month of May. Rockies top prospect, shortstop Brendan Rodgers, won the award for the final week of the month by hitting .500 (15-for-30) with three doubles, four home runs, and 10 RBI. He also won for the week of May 8-14.
Rodgers is hitting .390 on the season with a 1.090 OPS and is likely in line for a promotion to Double-A at some point this season.
His second win of the month comes on the heels of teammate and fellow Rogers (though without the “d”) who won PotW the third week of May, Wes Rogers, the fastest man in Colorado’s system.
