Prior to tonight’s series opener against the Texas Rangers, the Colorado Rockies have activated speedy outfielder Raimel Tapia from the 10-day IL. In a corresponding roster move, Taylor Motter has been designated for assignment.
Tapia injured his toe early in August, and was placed on the injured list on August 10th. HE recently completed a rehab assignment with the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes where he went 5-for-14 with two doubles and two stolen bases across four games.
The Rockies gain back a valuable player in Tapia, who is one of the team’s more productive hitters on the road with a line of .
