ATLANTA — Looking to add veteran depth, the Rockies on Friday acquired left-handed reliever James Pazos from Philadelphia in exchange for minor-league infielder Hunter Stovall.
Pazos, 27, was 0-1 with a 6.14 ERA, seven walks and four strikeouts in seven games with the Phillies’ Triple-A affiliate Lehigh Valley.
Pazos, who has some big-league experience, was added to Colorado’s 40-man roster.
He made his major-league debut on September 5, 2015 vs. Tampa Bay as a member of the Yankees. Across parts of four seasons with the Yankees (2015-16) and Seattle (2017-18), he is 9-6 with a 3.
