Márquez outstanding
German Márquez pitched a gem, reminding everyone that, yes, he is capable of being a top of the rotation starter on a competitive team. Márquez gave up five hits and three runs over eight innings. He struck out nine and walked two.
Márquez lowered his season ERA to 4.75 and his FIP to 3.97. He’s one of the big reasons to keep tuning in to Rockies games over the next six weeks.
Rockies’ big 6th inning
Down 2-0 heading into the sixth, the Rockies sent nine batters to the plate and left the inning with the lead.
