The Colorado Rockies looked like the team they need to be on Wednesday night, as they beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-2. A big fourth inning and an excellent outing from Tyler Anderson contributed to the victory.
Singles night
While the Rockies had 11 hits, nine of them were singles. The only extra base hits came in that big fourth — a Trevor Story double and an Ian Desmond home run. So while the Rockies offense didn’t exactly light it up with extra base hits in Philadelphia, there was constantly traffic, especially early.
