A little snow never hurt anyone, right? Certainly didn’t hurt the Rockies offense on Thursday afternoon as they went on to beat the Giants 12-11 in a good ol’ fashioned Coors Slugfest. Home runs from Nolan Arenado (and one “foul ball” that went to the concourse), Mark Reynolds, and Ian Desmond carried the team to victory and Kyle Freeland recovered from his ugly start last Saturday against the Dbacks. The Rockies had a 12-9 lead heading into the ninth inning, but Wade Davis and the Giants made it more interesting than it should have been.
The Rockies are now 17-20 and officially sent the Giants to the NL West cellar.
