The Rockies beat the Mets 10-8 Wednesday night and won consecutive games for the first time in two weeks. The bullpen made it tough, but key home runs gave the Rockies enough to win.
With the Rockies down 8-6 in the bottom of the fifth and with thoughts of yet another loss due to the bullpen, Ryan McMahon came through in a pinch:
The three-run home run was McMahon’s second of the season (as well as his career). It gave the Rockies the lead back for good. Charlie Blackmon added a homer of his own an inning later for a little bit of cushion.
