Roberto Ramos hits 3 homers in first week of minor league play

The Minor League Baseball season got underway on Thursday for the Rockies affiliates. Just like the Rockies major league season, the minor leagues have been all over the place. Some prospects have shined, while others have struggled a bit. The most notable performances came from Albuquerque’s Roberto Ramos and Asheville’s Ryan Rolison. Here is how everyone is performing with four games under their belts.

Triple-A: Albuquerque Isotopes (3-1)

Albuquerque Isotopes first baseman Roberto Ramos (no. 26 PuRP) mashed three homers in three of the Isotopes’ first four games. He failed to homer in the 12 inning marathon on Sunday, when he struck out four times in five at bats.
