Colorado Rockies closer Daniel Bard will miss the entirety of the 2024 season after beginning the year on the 15-day injured list. First reported by Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post on Friday afternoon, Bard will have surgery on his right flexor tendon.
Bard finished the 2023 season on the injured list with a right flexor strain after being on the IL in early September with right forearm fatigue. He had multiple PRP injections during the offseason and began a throwing program prior to spring training only for a freak knee injury to set him back several months due to it requiring surgery.
