WASHINGTON — For now, all Nolan Arenado can do is play baseball and await his fate.
Colorado’s all-star third baseman said he expects to be suspended by Major League Baseball for his role in the brawl that erupted Wednesday afternoon between the Padres and Rockies at Coors Field.
“I’m sure it’s coming, but I really don’t know what (MLB’s) plans are going to be,” Arenado said Thursday prior to the Rockies game against the Nationals.
A ruling will likely be handed out Friday.
Outfielder Gerardo Parra and starting pitcher German Marquez were also ejected for participating in the brawl and both are also likely to face a suspension.
