With their win in Thursday afternoon’s game, the Rockies took a two-game lead over the Dodgers in the division. This was a huge win, and it also marked some big, history-making numbers for both Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story. Arenado’s home run in the first inning gave him his 100th RBI. This is his fourth season with both 100 RBIs and 30 home runs, something only three other Rockies have accomplished. Arenado is in good company with Vinny Castilla, Todd Helton, and Larry Walker. Story continues to set records this year, hitting his 33rd home run, most ever scored by a shortstop.
