With the exception of German Marquez, the Rockies’ rotation has been struggling. Kyle Freeland is missing that special factor he had last season when he was in contention for the Cy Young Award. Jon Gray, while improving from last year, hasn’t been very consistent, and neither has Antonio Senzatela. Tyler Anderson is likely going to have knee surgery, taking him out for this season. While we can’t say it’s entirely the fault of pitching, the rotation has certainly contributed to the lackluster start the Rockies have had. Rockies’ pitchers need to work on starting the games strong; they can’t be giving up several runs early on.
