After a slow start that saw his batting average drop to .218 on April 19, outfielder Raimel Tapia has been on a tear for Triple-A Albuquerque that continued Saturday night when he went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles in the Isotopes 6-3 win over Las Vegas. Since his low point, Tapia is hitting .363/.396/.549 in 21 games with 10 doubles, two triples and a home run, bringing his season line to .308/.365/.527 with five home runs in 34 games. He has also stolen six bases and been caught just once. He would be among the first to get the call should the Rockies need an outfielder later this season.
