MILWAUKEE — Nolan Arenado found his home run swing in the nick of time Thursday afternoon, blasting a solo shot in the ninth inning to lead the Rockies to a 2-1 victory over Milwaukee at Miller Park.
Arenado tattooed an 0-2 pitch from Brewers closer Neftali Feliz for his first homer of the season.
Lefty reliever Mike Dunn pitched a scoreless eighth and closer Greg Holland whiffed two in a scoreless ninth as the back of Colorado’s bullpen continued to shine. Dunn got the victory and Holland is now 3-for-3 in save opportunities.
The win gave the Rockies three wins in the first four games to open the season.
