Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is back in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Padres at Coors Field. The Cubs’ Cole Hamels plunked him in the left forearm Wednesday, forcing his exit from the game.

Arenado, batting fourth, said he felt fine Thursday after getting treatment at the ballpark.

“It’s going to be stiff and bruised for a while, but it’s something I just have to play through,” Arenado said. “I’ll probably wear something to cover it throughout the game and protect it just in case something happens again.
