As Nolan Arenado continues to prove himself as one of the best players in the majors — and perhaps the greatest third baseman of all time — his hometown of Lake Forest, California, added to his local legacy by naming a street after the all-star.
The new “Nolan Arenado Drive” was unveiled on Saturday in a ceremony at Lake Forest Sports Park. The street leads from the sports park to a main parkway, and per the Orange County Register, it’s the first time in city history a street’s been named for a contemporary person.
Arenado, who starred at El Toro High School from 2006 to 2009, still lives in Lake Forrest during the offseason.
