There’s still plenty up in the air when it comes to Nolan Arenado’s future, but for the time being, things are settled. Arenado and the Rockies reached a record setting deal in arbitration with $26 million, beating out Josh Donaldson’s $23 million at the start of last year. Arenado is relieved the business side is complete, so now he can focus on what he loves: playing baseball. The Rockies are still likely to try for a long-term deal with the third baseman, who will be a free agent at the end of the year.
