The Colorado Rockies struck out 17 times en route to dropping their fifth straight game, losing 8-2 to the New York Yankees on Friday. Every member of the Rockies lineup struck out at least once in the game, with Charlie Blackmon, Ryan McMahon, and Mark Reynolds with three Ks a piece.
The loss dropped the Rockies to 2-11 in July and 6-17 since they peaked at 40-34 in mid-June. It also dropped them into a tie for last place in the NL West. Woof.
Kyle Freeland’s 2019 season is quickly becoming a lost one as the lefty had another rough outing against the Yankees.
