A brief, winter-like storm has skittered east across the plains into Kansas, just in time to allow for a warm Friday home-opener for the undefeated Colorado Rockies.

The forecast for the rest of this week in Denver calls for sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine continuing into the weekend, according to meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Boulder.

That means baseball fans attending the home-opener in Denver at Coors Field should slather on the sunshine and enjoy a balmy 72-degree high temperature.
