Ryan McMahon’s name has been noticeably absent from the statistical hitting leaders this season in the Rockies farm system.
But the corner infielder of the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats is getting back in the picture with a late-season rush that is starting to show the promise of past seasons. His RBI total that reached 65 through Thursday isn’t far off the top among the Rockies’ minor-league players.
But the 21-year-old, fourth-year player isn’t denying he has had an off year.
“I’ve developed some bad habits at the plate,” McMahon said earlier this week. “There were a lot of little things, bad things.
