Wallach spent 2016 as the Marlins bench coach under Don Mattingly and served the same role with Mattingly with the Dodgers the previous two seasons. Also notable is that Wallach does have managerial experience, as he managed the Albuquerque Isotopes, then the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate in 2009 and 2010, winning the Pacific Coast League Manager of the Year award in 2009 after leading the Isotopes to a franchise-record 80 wins.
