The Rockies were able to hang on against Thor and the Mets, taking a 4-3 lead into the ninth. All seemed to be going well until Jairo Diaz was unable to convert a five out save. He allowed a run to score in the eighth to make it 4-3, but then walked the leadoff man in the ninth who eventually came around to score and tie the game. He then walked the next batter to load the bases with nobody out. Joe Harvey came in to relieve Diaz, but he just added to the damage with an RBI walk to Pete Alonso.
