Matt McBride Heads to the Disabled List.

Matt McBride is headed to the 15 day Disabled List retroactive to April 15th. He strained his right oblique during Monday night’s game against Tacoma. McBride has been struggling this season, hitting .175 with two doubles, a homer, two RBI and four walks in six games.

According to the Isotopes, he will be replaced on the roster by Infielder Jose Rivera. Rivera is in 7th season with the Rockies organization. He hit .250 with 7 doubles, 2 triples and 11 RBIs in 37 games at Tulsa last year. This is his first visit to AAA.

McBride was originally drafted by Cleveland Indians in 2nd round of the 2006 amateur draft.
