The first in an ongoing series about baseball history from the writer formerly known as The Ghost of Marv Throneberry.
I have a deep love of history. I have something bordering on an obsession with baseball history. This led to me choosing the name of the (almost) famous Denver Bear, and infamous New York Met, Marv Throneberry for my username on this website, which caused some people to assume that I was born sometime between the end of the second World War and the Cuban Missile Crisis.
I was actually born about three months before Dante Bichette hit a walk-off home run in the 14th inning of the first ever game at Coors Field.
