Marquez roughed up as Rockies fall to Giants

SAN FRANCISCO -- Buster Posey and Hunter Pence hit solo homers as part of a four-run fifth inning and Matt Moore was almost untouchable on the mound, as the Giants kept pace in the National League Wild Card race with a 12-3 win over the Rockies on Tuesday night.

The Giants' offense jumped on Rockies starter German Marquez for six runs in the first five innings. The night was highlighted by the four-run outburst in the fifth, in which four batters recorded RBIs, and the Giants added five more in the ninth.
