SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — It has been an impressive spring thus far for Rockies infielder Mark Reynolds.
The nine-year veteran enters his second season with the Rockies, looking to crack the Opening Day roster. Through seven games, Reynolds has two doubles and an RBI while hitting .400. He has struck out six times in 15 at bats.
Rockies manager Bud Black has taken notice of the 33-year-old’s early spring production.
“How he looks right now, how he is moving, how he is swinging the bat, his bat speed, he is doing great,” Black said. “It’s still early, we’ve played 10 games and he has a couple handfuls of at-bats, but he looks good.
