Mark Reynolds has done just about everything the Rockies have asked this season — play terrific defense at first base, hit for average and provide veteran leadership in the clubhouse.
He was rewarded Sunday afternoon with a celebration at home plate after busting a two-run, walk-off homer in the ninth off Arizona’s Silvino Bracho, lifting Colorado to a 9-7 victory and a series split against the Diamondbacks.
It was the Rockies first walk-off victory of the season, and the 464-foot blast to center was the first walk-off homer of Reynolds’ career.
Sunday’s game was full of big moments.
