The Dodgers have won the National League West six consecutive times. And based off Los Angeles’ active offseason compared to Colorado’s — not to mention the opinions of many critics, including the predictions by both Rockies beat writers at The Denver Post — the Dodgers will win their seventh consecutive crown this year.
But Rockies fans, emboldened by the long-term signing of Nolan Arenado plus the potential of the team’s rotation and brimming young positional talent, have a much more purple picture of things. They’re already taking to neighborhood barstools and social media platforms far and wide to proclaim how they’d celebrate should Colorado win the division for the first time en route to a third consecutive playoff berth.
