Not much stands out about 21st Street, a drab two-way downtown side street that dead-ends into Coors Field. But that will change in mid-June, when Denver city officials and neighborhood leaders roll out a “pop-up park” on one block.
For two months, the street will close to traffic between Larimer and Lawrence streets, two blocks east of of the stadium, to make way for an outdoor gathering place, a dog park and activities meant to draw people (and mutts) to a quiet block whose defining feature otherwise has been the surface parking that lines the entirety of one side.
