Wednesday’s game against the Diamondbacks contained some glimpses of Kyle Freeland’s previous glory. He seemed loose and had some more of his old confidence as he struck out pitchers and led hitters into double plays. He’s feeling good despite his unimpressive numbers. He likes the way his mechanics are going, and even though the numbers don’t yet reflect it, the Denver native claims he’s on his way back to the top.
Baseball is a dynamic game, and closing out a game is different than starting it. Those final three outs aren’t the same as the first 24.
