The next to suffer in a long line of injuries for the Rockies is star pitcher Kyle Freeland, who has a blister on a finger on his throwing hand. The team wants to play it safe and make sure this injury can heal properly before asking Freeland to pitch again. He’ll be eligible to play again versus the Milwaukee Brewers on the road. This is his first time being out for an injury since August 2017, when he had a groin strain. As Freeland goes on the IL, Tyler Anderson comes off, but he continues to struggle against the long ball.
