The pain in Kris Bryant’s left foot forced the Rockies’ left fielder to leave Sunday’s game against the Dodgers in the fifth inning.
After Colorado’s 7-3 loss, manager Bud Black said that Bryant “aggravated” his left foot plantar fasciitis.
Bryant has been getting treatment and playing through the pain, but he was noticeably hobbled after sliding into home plate while scoring on Randal Grichuk’s two-run single in the third inning. Bryant made a running catch in the fifth inning but he struggled to catch up to the ball.
“We got him out of there and he was sore,” Black said.
