For the first time since April 17th, Colorado Rockies first baseman, right fielder, and designated hitter Kris Bryant is on the team’s active roster. Bryant has been activated from the 10-day injured list and is expected to start at first base tonight against the Oakland Athletics.
In 47 at-bats with the Rockies this season Bryant is hitting .149/.273/.255 with one home run and six RsBI.
Bryant, 32, was revealed to have been struggling with back issues since he was signed by the Rockies organization prior to the 2022 season.
“I guess it’s hard to speak on because I’m not a doctor, but the discs in my back are pretty much dried up, so there’s a couple of discs that … they don’t function like they did 10 years ago,” Bryant told the Denver Post earlier this month.
