Walt Weiss plopped down next to me in the Rockies dugout and, without so much as saying hello, he asked the only critical question that remains in another wasted summer of bad baseball in Colorado.
"Am I in trouble?" Weiss said Tuesday.
Well, as the manager with the worst winning percentage in the Rockies' inglorious history, maybe a better question would be: How could Weiss not be in danger of losing his job?
After losing 15-6 to the Washington Nationals, Colorado seems doomed to suffer more than 90 defeats for a second consecutive season under the direction of Weiss.
