To say the Rockies have crumbled is an insult to rubble.
The mess Jeff Bridich left in LoDo when he walked out the door as general manager is toxic. It’s a negative atmosphere that not only drove out star third baseman Nolan Arenado, but sometimes made it tough to report to work at 20th and Blake without holding your nose.
A baseball franchise that has deluded itself into believing there’s a “Rockies way” of winning at 5,280 feet above sea level desperately needs a breath of fresh air, a ray of sunshine and any reason for hope.
