Before you banish Brendan Rodgers to Albuquerque with a scarlet letter, a couple things.

1. ) The kid went into the Rockies’ 9-6 loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday with a career OPS of .318 before May 1. And a career batting average of .105. He can’t explain it, either.

2.) It’s not May 1 yet.

Let’s make a deal: If Rodgers is still hitting .095 on the morning of May 20, by all means, panic. Rage. Shake your fist at every cloud in the sky.
