Nolan Arenado insists it’s too early to comment on the National League MVP race, one sure to be headlined down the homestretch by himself and Braves’ first baseman Freddie Freeman.
And while much of his candidacy for the award is dependent upon whether the Rockies can hang around long enough to make a serious run at the divisional title in September, Colorado’s third baseman believes his 2018 ceiling is yet to be reached.
“Obviously, I hear some things about the MVP chase, but there’s so many games left — we have a month and a half left, and a lot at-bats in front of me,“ Arenado said.
