SEATTLE — Gerardo Parra loves to yap. On the team plane, team bus and in the clubhouse, he’s often the life of the party.
Just don’t expect the Rockies’ colorful outfielder to yap about himself.
“I don’t want to talk about me, I want to talk about the team,” he’s said on more than one occasion this season.
That’s OK, others are eager to chime in on Parra, who, in my opinion, has been Colorado’s unsung hero. The energy he brings to the team — every day, his excellent defense and timely hitting have been on display for most of the season.
