Jose Mujica on path to full strength from Tommy John, and the right-hander could factor into Rockies’ rotation later this year

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Though Antonio Senzatela grew up just a year older than Jose Mujica in Valencia, Venezuela, he never met him or played against him in Little League.

After the Rockies signed Mujica and added him to their 40-man roster in the offseason Senzatela remembered stories about the fellow right-hander.

“He was a big pitcher from my hometown, and I heard his name a lot,” Senzatela said.
