Jorge De La Rosa leaves game with cut left middle finger

Jorge De La Rosa's finger problem has not gone away.

The Rockies left-hander was removed from Thursday's 6-4 win over Arizona in the sixth inning because of a small cut on his left middle finger.

De La Rosa, who pitched well, said he wanted to stay in the game but understood why the move was made.

"I think it was a smart thing to take me out," he said. "It was bothering me the whole game. That's why they took me out, because they don't want it to get worse."
