LOS ANGELES — Jon Gray, the Rockies rookie who started opposite all-world Clayton Kershaw on Monday at Dodger Stadium, tweaked his delivery recently.
And it may carry him to the end of the season.
Gray chiseled away at his windup to limit some of his motion. In his previous start, the Oklahoma product tosses five scoreless innings at San Diego.
"He took it into the game last time out and looked comfortable," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "He's excited about it."
Gray is the first starting pitcher since at least 1914 to start his career with seven no-decision outings.
