SAN DIEGO – Trevor Story and Jairo Diaz each had costly errors and Jon Gray uncorked two wild pitches in a disastrous sixth inning as the Colorado Rockies dropped their third straight game with a 9-3 loss to the San Diego Padres on Thursday night at Petco Park.
Colorado (52-63) had won four consecutive games over San Diego heading into the contest, marking the sixth time in franchise history the Rockies had accomplished that feat. However, only once before have the Rockies won five in a row against the Padres (spanning the 2000-01 seasons).
