Four all-stars and a couple Rookie of the Year candidates headline a roster full of top major league talent as the Japan All-Star Series begins with the first of seven games on Thursday at the Tokyo Dome.
The series, which pits a major league roster against players from Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball, starts with Thursday’s exhibition against the Yomiuri Giants, the most successful team in the history of the NPB.
That exhibition is followed by three games against Japan’s national team, Samurai Japan, at the Tokyo Dome before the series moves to Hiroshima for a game and then Nagoya for the final two contests.
