Jackie Robinson West took in over $300K in donations, per report

CHICAGO — Documents submitted to the Internal Revenue Service show that Chicago's Jackie Robinson West baseball team accepted over $300,000 in donations before Little League International stripped the team of its 2014 title.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the money has allowed the organization to build more than $200,000 in cash reserves.

The newspaper says the team's yearly not-for-profit filing with the IRS shows it took in $324,325 in donations and $14,707 in fees from players from October 2013 to September 2014. However, the full amount won't be known unless disclosed by team.

Attorney Victor Henderson represents the team.
