How to have too many 1B and yet severely lack at the position.

Kris Bryant played 1B in Colorado’s loss to the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday and hit a home run. It was generally a sight to behold as it has occurred only in .03% of his plate appearances taken in a Colorado Rockies uniform. It was his second home run of the season and his 1-for-4 appearance brought his 2024 slash line up to .173/.303/.280 and his season RBI total to nine.

The home run was nice. But, overall, the production for Bryant has been tough to stomach…and that’s before you get into his contract, which is so abysmal it belongs on the Mt.
