It’s official Rockies fans: any hopes of Colorado bringing back Gerardo Parra as a veteran presence are gone as the veteran outfielder has signed with Japan’s Yomiuri Giants.
Parra spent three season with the Rockies from 2016-18 and was considered a high-energy guy who was fun to have around the clubhouse. After the Rox parted ways with Parra, he ended up signing a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants. After being let go by the Giants, Parra moved on and signed with the Washington Nationals, where he contributed as a backup outfielder.
While playing for the Nats, Parra became known for using “Baby Shark” as his walkup song.
