The country’s top high school baseball prospects are coming to Coors Field.
Friday will be MLB’s second edition of the High School All-American Game, played as part of all-star weekend in LoDo. First pitch will be at 5:05 p.m. as 39 of the nation’s top high school players from 17 states come to Denver, including two Colorado products.
Chatfield right-hander Christian Foutch (Arkansas commit) and Grandview center fielder Reese Chapman (Tennessee) are the locals set to play.
Former Rockies manager Clint Hurdle and ex-Colorado infielder Clint Barmes will serve as managers in the game, which is a feeder for the Prospect Development Pipeline League, the primary identification event for the USA Baseball 18U National Team.
